Run by Quizzing in America's host Jeremy Cahnmann. Brain Bash Trivia specializes in corporate and private events. Customized to any size or age group. Jeremy's improvisational style of hosting trivia is unique and unlike any other trivia night you've ever seen. Currently Brain Bash Trivia is on hiatus from hosting any pub trivia events but they can be booked for private parties.
For over 20 years Quiz Master Dave has been asking questions at the Globe Pub in Chicago. Every Tuesday night at 8PM. Reservations are a MUST.
Egghead Pub Trivia is a traditional pen and paper game with a variety of rounds. Most venues are located in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Check their social media pages for lates venue information.
One of the newest entries into the Chicago trivia market. Top Hat has been running games since 2013 and uses an app based system where teams enter on smart devices. Most of their locations are in the NW suburbs of Chicago with a couple of city locations as well. Check their website and socials for the latest info on games.
Windy City Trivia is another one of the newer trivia providers in the city. As of 2025, their only known regular venue is Guthrie's Tavern in Wrigleyville on Tuesday nights, but check their socials to get new show information.
Tip Top Team Trivia hosts one game a week on Monday Nights at Five Star Bar in Chicago. Check their Instagram for more details and additional venues.
Baig of Tricks has been running games in Chicago and it suburbs for around a decade. Most of their venues tend to be in the near western or southwestern suburbs of Chicago. Check their webpage and socials for more information.
Kwizmaster Trivia by Kurt runs every Wednesday at Gio's on Damen 8PM. For hints and more info check out the Kwizmaster Facebook Group.
Gio's also runs games the 1st and 3rd Monday's of the month with Jamie and Kelly a less serious but still fun night.
Sound Sonic is a DJ company that also hosts trivia events. Located in the south suburbs of Chicago they do have a few city games most notably Ranalli's West Loop on Madison and Gaslight on Clark both of which run on Wednesday Nights. Contact Sound Sonic for more information.
If you want a truly unique trivia night in Chicago. Find Kevin Graham who has been hosting trivia for a long time and currently alternates Wednesday's at two venues on the NW side of the city. City's Edge and Ma O'Brien's Irish Pub. Kevin does some fundraisers and has an email list on which he updates his regular players about his games.
Located across the street from the Wrigley Field Bleachers. Murphy's runs their own in house game every Thursday at 7:30 when the CUBS ARE NOT PLAYING!
Ace your events is a DJ and entertainment company located in Peoria, Illinois. They run trivia and bingo events as well. Check their website for more information.
Sporcle Live runs events nationwide but does have some Illinois events mostly in the Chicagoland area. It is an app based game where players enter answers on devices.
Twin City Trivia has been running trivia events in Central Illinois since 2014. Based out of Bloomington they have venues all over Illinois. Check their website for the most up to date information.
& Chill Trivia company is headquartered in Belleville, Illinois outside of St. Louis and runs games in Southern Illinois and the St. Louis metro area. Check out their website for more details.
Founded in 2008 by Dan Burns, Whaddayaknow Free Pub Trivia has been running some of the most popular games in Chicago for over a decade. Known for their twice yearly Tournament of Champions, they not only run pub trivia events all over Chicago but also Bar Bingo, Karaoke, Music Trivia, and more. Pen and Paper Trivia is as the name suggests a traditional Pen and Paper game. They have been running trivia for over a decade as of 2025, and have recently started to expand their venues but are mostly located on the north and northwest side of Chicago. Founded and run by Jay Borsom over a decade ago. Liquid Kourage is one of the most creative games out there. Players answer on devices using the TrivNow App. LK not only does trivia but DJing and Karaoke as well. Mostly located in the SW Suburbs of Chicago check their website and socials for latest show information. Also follow their Twitch channel for live streaming shows which occur regularly.
Chicago Pub Mix Trivia is run by Maggie and the only regular location is on the Northside of the city at Cary's lounge. A cozy joint on Devon. Check out the game every Tuesday night at 7:30 and follow their Facebook page for updates.
Despite the name most of the venues for Chicago Trivia Guys are located in the suburbs and mainly the western burbs. It is a traditional pen and paper game and more info about their venues can be found on their webpage and social media accounts.
One of the newest games in Chicago. My Buddy's Smart Ass Trivia is independently run and a pen and paper game with some fun side games in between rounds. Check the My Buddy's Facebook page for updates, but trivia is every Wednesday at 7PM.
For serious movie buffs. The Music Box Theater has a movie trivia game every Sunday at 4PM. YOU MUST REGISTER to play the game and registration opens at NOON every Sunday and FILLS UP FAST. The game is independently run by a trio of host who always have challenging questions. Check the Music Box Theater website for more info and follow the instagram account for trivia for hints posted each week.
Go 4 It Entertainment is another DJ Company that runs trivia events mostly in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago. Check their webpage and socials for more information.
Country Club is a bar in Wrigleyville that runs their own in house game every Thursday at 8PM. The winning team picks a card on their Queen of Hearts Jackpot so there is always a chance to win big money!
Pub Trivia USA is one of the older companies in the Chicago area. Running games all over the north and northwest suburbs of the city. The game is app based where players answer on their devices.

Brain Sportz has been around a while and hosts at multiple venues around Chicago and the suburbs. It is one of the easier pub trivia games in town if that's your thing.
Geeks Who Drink is another nationwide company with some Illinois venues. They have also teamed up with the folks at Jeopardy and are now running the Jeopardy Bar League. Both games are app based with players entering answers on devices. Check their websites for venue information which does include Illinois locations.
Trivia Workshop is based out of Springfield, Illinois and run by the incomparable Russ Friedewald. One of the best in the game his events are always creative and fun. He runs only one weekly show in Springfield, but does a streaming show and several private and public events each year and also hosts the popular podcast Tangents.
Team Trivia based out of Atlanta is one of the oldest trivia companies in the country. They have shows nationwide including several in Illinois. Check their website for more information.
